1. Վերադարձ Տէր-Պէտրոսեանի

   Պատճառաբանութիւնները մէկդի դնելով, համաձայն եմ՝ ազգ մը որ ունի անկախ ազատ երկիր, միմիայն ներքին ուժերն են իրեն բարձրացնողը, «ու անկումը», իսկ Սփիռքահայի դերը Տէր-Պետրոսեանը կը մոռնայ ու չանդրադառնար թէ դժբախտ երկրաշարժի օրերուն եւ այնուհետեւ առանց Սփիւռքահայի նիւթական թէ բարոյական օգնութեան Հայաստանը չէր կարող հասնիլ այն ինչին որ է այսօր:

2. LTP forgets Diaspora help

   I have nothing against Levon Ter Petrossian personally, but he is very conveniently overlooking, forgetting Diaspora´s immense aid pouring in after the earthquake and long after that; in fact it is still continuing…

   If there ever was to be measured/calculated what the Spyurk has done and is …still doing….it would be really immeasurable: recent one that of Eduardo Eurnekian´s super modern two airport buildings, prior to that many others like Cafesjian´s and Hovnanian’s help.  So many of them are doing such benevolent acts.

   One more thing, Ter Petrossian is lucky that he still has "followers" who are enchanted by his gesticulations and promises…..

   It is also sad that true statesmen, such as former parliament president Tigran Torosian, are gone and "chinovniks" have taken their place.

   Yesterday Vahan Hovhannissian put the Minister of Diaspora in place at the parliament …read about it either at Aravot.am or A1plus, I don´t remember now which.  It is interesting how the politico in Yerevan do not consider to get together and achieve a better parliament and consequently a better government and a …better…
   you guess the rest. This is due to being UN-KNOWLEDGABLE, DIGDUTYUN….as he, Tigran Torosian has mentioned.

   But all these can be remedied indeed, if we first of all put our own house in order in the Diaspora. Both Diaspora and Homeland need redress.

3. Armenia undergoing a liberal revolution

   Armenia is undergoing a new type of revolution which still remains unrecognized. I name it liberal democratic revolution. The role of developed informational societies can be crucial in this process. The Governments of the Western countries are selfish — that is the essence of the so-called politics. I beg all the Armenians in the World, I beg all People of Good Will, please, pay attention to the Armenian processes within Armenia. Give informational and moral support to these novel and revolutionary processes! Any of us, including Dr. Levon Ter Petrossian with his broad political intuition, is unable to understand the internal mechanisms of the revolutionary process. Though the feelings of the Great Armenian People can never mislead us.

   1. About Selfishness

      Dear Mr. Jeshmaridian,

      You cannot blame foreign governments for being "selfish" and pursuent of their proper politico-economic agenda(s). Blame the indifferent, egotistic and selfish majority of the Armenian Diaspora whose character was well described in the first president’s comment addressed to this selfish and loud mass. The proof of my argument are fellow diasporans’ comments in these pages and the "Silence of the Lambs" selfishly exercised by the Diaspora’s so-called intellectuals and the orchestrated mass media, with minor exceptions such as Harut Der Tavitian of "Massis Weekly"’ and adherents.

      1. Wonderful Duo of Real Patriots

         No hard feelings towards anybody. I want to add to the extremely short list of "khizakh, angeghdz yev hantsnarrou" intellectuals the name of Sahag Tutjian beside Harout Der-Tavitian’s. I do not personally know them. Their views I find serve the Cause of A Free, Just & Proud Armenia.

   2. Revolution not applicable – Evolution is

      I beg to differ with Mr. Jshmaridian. Hopefully it stays on the peaceful course Rafi Hovhanissian initiated past Summer at the Liberty Square in Yerevan. He carried  on speaking at the Square  each week like it is done at  Hyde Park in London, always preaching mildly and trying to be  as  non-aggressive  as  Mohandas  Mahatma Gandhi, unlike  LTP.

      It  seems to me  that AMBOKHAVARUTYUN is what the majority  of the people  in Hayastan  is after, unaware that  this may  lead  to more March 1st style events.

      It’s time to realize  that our people  in Homeland , as well as  in Diaspora  need to let go old concepts  of  political party leaderships  being  the only VENUE of governance, disregarding the  non-politico professionalized persons. Or at  the very  least try  to make  an effort  to  recognize  and separate  AMBOKHAVARS from  real  politician-intellectuals. I may add also those  who are naturally endowed with some capabilities of path finding to break through impasses and suggest/offer real solutions, practicable and realizable.

      Otherwise, unfortunately Armenia and the  Diaspora  will  not succeed  in being able form Civil  Societies.

      1. Hantsnabasdan Yev Anhimn Tadoghutyunner

         Nobody in the proven Selfish and Egoistic Diaspora, no matter how complexed, is authorized to make sinister judgements addressed to the "majority of the people" in Hayastan, accusing them with "ampokhavarutyun" or terrorizing the People struggling for Justice and Freedom with another "March 1".

4. Best Hope for Armenia

   The overweight and overdressed Levon Ter-Bedrossian on the podium during the Feb./March 2008 demonstrations in Yerevan is a far different person than I thought he would be when he came into the scene some 20 years ago. As our first nationally-elected president, he surely made our history poorer by his divisive politics.

   Having said the above, I cannot deny that he is a gifted intellect. However, his analysis will serve us better if he confines himself to the inner rooms of the Madenataran. He is right: in final analysis, despite the support Diaspora renders, the best hope for Armenia is Armenia. 

5. The Nation’s Wisdom

   Most Respectful Gaytzag Palandjian, Thank You for Your response. Armenia is within a new type of revolution which has its own evolution, independent of our will and wish. You and I have to follow the collective wisdom of our People. The power of the Congress is that the leaders of the Congress are learning from the nation’s wisdom and are following the nation’s requirements, needs, and demands.

   1. Armenia Needs Evolution Not Revolution & Nation´s Wisdom

      Dear Samvel,

      I hope your phased revolution does not end up in revolution.

      Evolutionions and revolutions are of other nature, say, like the Spring revolutions of the Arab states. We ought to know better than to follow in the footsteps of the aforementioned. Does Egypt´s (the main one in the Middle East) achieve anything with the wisdom of the multitudes – the ampokhs?

      I have to differ. Such "revolutions" at this juncture might be dangerous. Let  us stick to slow, meditated evolutions. If some here wish to get me entangled into left-right or ishkhanaganutyun issues or confrontations, I bow out.

      1. Revolution is not Revolt

         Dear Mr. Palandjian,

         Revolution is not a revolt and/or vice versa. Even in the European translations of The Bible there is a confusion and misunderstanding about that. In some English translations it goes, "Now Barnabas was revolutionary", in some other editions it goes, "Now Barnabas was the bandit". I understand revolutionaries as persons fighting for others’ well being and happiness.

         1. Time for our political parties to act – Vive La France

            Dear  Mr. Samvel,

            Please  forgive  me if  I am not responding  to your above post. Let me say I agree  to it O.K.?

            My present posting  now is to suggest  through  this  media  and its affiliates  and/or members to remind  all Armenian  political parties to which they belong or  through friends  that  belong  to these, where they  have  ample committees/offices  to pick  up the chanllenge  and direct  through  these  their PLEAS  to the govt.s  of  the EU  to similarly, as France, outright, like  president of France  Mr. Sarkozy  did, two days ago in Yerevan, that  what  transpired  in 1915, was Genocide  against Armenians by Turkey´s  predecessor  Governments.

            Now  is the  time!!!

            Like  more  than a quarter century ago  advertising space  was  purchased  in the Paris  based  International  Herald Tribune defending  our Cause, I believe  it  was some Anniversary of the Genocide, I think the 75th  one.

            For the Armenian saying  goes, "Yergat@  Dak dak  g´dzedzen", menaing for  those who don´t  understand or speak Armenian, "Strike while the iron is hot". 

            Above  event, some may not  think as important  but  it  is. It  is of the utmost importance. The world´s 5th Power officially confirming  it and asking  Turkey  to admit to it shortly/briefly, as  otherwise  France  might  pass  the law  that will condemn and punish those denying  it.

            Again, sorry Mr. Jshmaridian for  not going into details  with you re  Revolts, Evolutions, Revolutions and or Rebelling.

6. Social & Political Maturity

   Most Respectful Mleh Ishkhanian, Thank You for Your response. It is very important. 

   My note about the selfishness of Governments is not a blame, but a fact. Though that fact has aberrations, like Leninist-Stalinist type of Governments when/where one’s own people is kept under pressure in the name of some indefinite goal/objective. Fascism is an example of an extreme selfishness, when/where neighboring countries have been declared imperfect and dangerous.

   The internal meaning of Government targets one basic mission — being selfish, egoistic, and egocentric for the sake of wealth and well-being of one’s own people and nation. Differences can be observed between mild and normal selfishness and extreme and brutal selfishness. This matter refers to the social political development and maturity of a certain society and nation.

   Armenians of Armenia and all Armenians of the World should have their mind that any time any Government can behave too selfishly,  though expected,  it should have some level of social political maturity.

7. New Armenia

   Our focus must be on assisting Nakhakhorhrdaran (pre-parliament) in its daily struggle to build a new Armenia. The final hope for having a decent Armenian homeland is being realised by Nakhakhorhrdaran activists in Armenia and in Diaspora's support for them–in any fashion of Nakhakhorhrdaran's choosing.  Nothing else matters at this time in our history. We must become Nakhakhorhrdaran's right arm in its rightful struggle for a new Armenia. The Diaspora should re-direct all its energies to strengthen the Nakhakhorhrdaran. All those dreaming of a great Armenian homeland should become members of  Armenian Renaissance.
