Aram Khachaturian

Composer Aram Khachaturian learned to play horn and piano by ear, and he loved to improvise. He attended his first opera at 16, his first symphony concert a few years later. Encouraged by his oldest brother, Suren, a noted theatre figure, Khachaturian moved to Moscow in 1921. But he did not begin formal study of music until he was 20.
