Honouring Hrant Dink’s Legacy

Two weekends ago the Telling Stories Living Histories film festival took place in Ottawa, Canada in Commemoration of the Turkish Armenian journalist Hrant Dink. The film event was presented by Voices in Dialogue – a small group inspired by the life and vision of Hrant Dink, promoting open and peaceful dialogue among peoples whose roots are found in Anatolia, especially those with Turkish, Kurdish and Armenian backgrounds.

A selection of short, animation and feature films were shown followed by a small reception attracting approximately 200 people. Donations made at the event are being channeled to Van Women`s Association to benefit the survivors of the earthquake that struck the city of Van in Turkey last October.
