How should I know where I’m going If I don’t know where I’m coming from? Where has my past gone? I search endlessly, The beginning of a road…
How should I know who I am, Without knowing who my forbears were? I am a stranger to myself, Knowing nothing I, I am the tomb of a part of the world I can’t do anything about it, I’m there, I’m the shadow In the middle of the rubble. To understand history I become the memory.
Before I can hold your hand, My fear must end, In the bottom of my heart is carved The fear that everything Will end overnight.
I, I feel like the tomb of that part of the world I can’t do anything about it, I’m there, I’m the shadow In the middle of the rubble. To understand history, I become the memory
I am not talking about a country, But about all of Armenias When an unbearable injury Is added to a wound. The deaths that they continue to deny.
I, I am the tomb of that part of the world, I can’t do anything about it, I’m there, I’m the shadow In the middle of the rubble. To understand history I become the memory. |

i like the song you published its really emotional and impressive.
Amazing
One of the best songs, in many ways:
The Armenian girl’s accent was very musical and nice to the ear.
The french song has nice words and a very nice ‘marriage’ with the Armenian music.
I love it.
Thank you,
Hrair.

This is an absolutely
This is an absolutely beautiful song. I am going to learn the words by heart as I have found them to be so true. I am very proud indeed of the Armenian part of my parentage (my father – Nasib Haratoon Baklavadjian): I think it makes me a very special person and I was so thrilled to have visited Armenia, at last, in 2009. I certainly hope to come back 🙂
