A joint committee of two estranged states to study the issue of genocide
is like a joint committee of a rapist and rape victim.
How likely are the two to agree on what actually transpired?
How likely are they to achieve a consensus that a brutal crime was committed?
How traumatic would such a proposed committee be to the victim,
given the determined denial of the perpetrator?
What purpose could such a committee serve?
Probably to delay and procrastinate the publication of the documentary ruling.
But we have judges for a purpose.
A judge carefully assesses what happened.
To discern who did what
and to whom.
To determine what should be the punishment
and the compensation.
We do not need a focus group
composed of a rapist and the rape victim.
Spare us that final indignity.
Please.
In the name of decency,
spare us that indignity.

Makes all the more sense
Alan Whitehorn’s analogy drives home the true nature of the relation that exists between Turkey and Armenia.
Thank you Professor Whitehorn.
A pebble in the Ocean
Dear Ashot and all,
However, I, personally – don´t know about my obstinate compatriots- have long ago stopped staking my hopes and beliefs in the Anglo-American and some Euro countries.
Another person whose name comes to my mind is dear Prof. Yves Ternon who at the end of a Conference this past April at 17 Rue Bleu of Pais-Armenian Center, surmised thus:- Parlement a Parlement …Armenians, there is no better advice than this last one. Go on, look for allies and supporters in middle sized, small, very small countries globally to support your demand for justice, not to the aforementioned that have betrayed us sevral times over and still adamanntly support Tukey, The Genocidal state.
One more suggestion, put your own house in order, get the Spyurk re-organized to become a superstructure. Please visit my web site to find out how: http://www.Armenidad-worldwide.org
Bravo, Whitehorn
Thank you.
