Keghart.com Readers Celebrate Independent Armenian Media

Friends of Keghart.com from greater NJ-NY gathered earlier this year in Paterson, NJ to celebrate independent Armenian media, to honor Publisher Dikran Abrahamian and English Language Editor Jirair Tutunjian and to hold a kinetson for Keghart III, the latest anthology of Keghart editorials.

Speakers included Boston-area freelance writer David Boyajian, writer-artist Lucine Kasbarian, and veteran columnist CK Garabed. Abrahamian and Tutunjian spoke about the 9-year history of the website which in some years has had one million unique visitors from around the globe.  Citing that most Armenian media represent political parties and special interest groups, Tutunjian spoke about the importance of an independent and professionally managed Armenian media.
