“Stolen Century”

Many consider documentaries to be part reflection of facts and part fiction; others consider them to be carefully braided propaganda instruments to impress a certain point of view.

Tigran Khzmalyan’s historical documentary “Stolen Century” depicts the story of the Armenians in the past one hundred years. It juxtaposes actions almost concurrently committed on the one hand by the Ottoman empire and Turkey, and on the other by Tsarist, Bolshevik and present day Russia.
