Is it a rose by another name?
Is it still a rose?
Is it as aromatic?
Or is it a bit more prickly?
Perhaps, it is a rose that has wilted with the passage of so much time.
Who is left to receive it?
What will they do with it?
Still I ask: What will we call this offering?
In the meantime,
the garden needs much tending,
and special loving care.
