Peaceful Civil Activists Attacked in Armenia

Yerevan.-Vehicles owned by members of civil activists Pre-Parliament (Nakhakhorhtaran) group were destroyed in seven almost simultaneous explosions in different Yerevan neighborhoods in the early hours of Nov. 27. There were no injuries.

The ability to carry-out such a synchronized operation requires a highly-organized and coordinated command center, said a source close to pro-Nakhakhorhtaran. Consequently, he said, it would be relatively easy to find people who possess such incendiary sophistication.

The same source added: “Armenians—in Armenia and in the Diaspora–cannot tolerate these violent tactics. Freedom of speech and opinion are fundamental values that need to be protected. Differences in opinion, however divergent, should not and cannot be silenced with these methods.”

The civil movement supporter added: “It is hoped that Armenia authorities will denounce these actions in no uncertain terms and do their utmost to bring to justice the perpetrators of such violent acts.”

  1. Not Innocent

These people serve Western as well as Turkish interests. Their master in the West want them to do in Armenia what they have already done in Libya and Syria: destroy the nation and break it away from Russia. Some in their ranks are professional agents but most are naive/ignorant patriots. Thank God we, Armenians, are much smarter than Arabs. These Western-led movements do not have a large following as a result. They shall be crushed when the time comes. Mark my words. God bless Mother Russia. God bless Armenia.

    1. Troubling Response

      Hayordi's response is troubling.

I am under the impression that it has been posted from Armenia given that a Diasporan more likely than not would have presented himself as HayorTi and not as HayorDi.

What is troubling is that there is absolutely no reference in his response if these  activists broke the rule and that their behavior was found to be unlawful by legal authorities in court where these activists, having legal representation by defense lawyers, were found  not to make their case in a court proceeding.

What seems to have transpired is strictly street justice and in the eyes of HayorDi that seems to be perfectly acceptable way of dealing with "troublemakers" in the eyes of the rulers of the country and to those who make their livelihood by supporting them and silencing  dissent by use of brute force.

  2. I agree with Hayordi

I fully agree with Hayordi with one minor correction: I think he forgot to add Ukraine to the growing list of countries that imperial Western designs have destroyed in recent times. These preparliament folk, along with several other Western-led subversive groups are cancerous elements within the Armenian body. Their lofty rhetoric about Western fairytales such as "Democracy" and "Human Rights" can be tossed in the trash bin of history for they are wolves in sheep's clothing. Whether they realize it or not, their presence in Armenia is only serving Western and Turkish interests. Anyone that sees anything positive in such groups is either a politically illiterate imbecile or a Western operative.

With official entry into the Russian-led Eurasian Union just a few weeks away now, Uncle Sam's operatives in Armenia are getting increasingly desperate – as predicted. The fires that damaged their automobiles were most probably done by them to attract media coverage and gain public sympathy. Now, they are claiming they will attempt a regime change in Armenia – by the use of arms if need be and of all days, on April 24, the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Alarmingly, they are also implying that the murder of Armenian security officials and politicians is justified now because the two serve foreign interests (i.e. Russian interests).

Armenia's self-destructive peasantry is once again ready and very willing to burn down their village in order to save it from imaginary monsters. Very surreal. Very Armenian. I say, perhaps the killing of Preparliament members is now justified as well, specially since their actions in Armenia directly serve the interests of Western powers and Turks.

Anyway, these groups have miniscule followings in Armenia as seen by their silly rallies that seldom attract more than a few dozen weirdos. With that said, Armenian authorities have informants in all these groups, as well as knowledge about who leads/funds these people from abroad. The authorities are remaining silent as a way of showing Western powers that Armenia is a "free society" and also because they are giving these groups the noose with which they will hand them with with when the time is right. As Hayrodi suggested, when the times comes, and these Western operatives try anything drastic, they will be dealt with in the harshest of manners.

God bless Armenia. God bless Russia. And may God help protect our alliance with the great Russian nation from all enemies both foreign and domestic.

    1. Letter to RCMP

      Dear Keghart,

I believe you have an obligation to send the letter by "Harutik" to the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) as it is inciting violence and making death threats against others (justification of killing pre-parliament members) . We should not take this lightly. We should make sure that the RCMP follows up on this with their US counterparts and investigate this individual.

  3. Peaceful Civic Activitsts Attacked in Armenia

The most interesting aspect of Hayordi's and Harutik's posts is that they are writing from the United States. Amazing how detestable Western democracy is… except for them.

  4. Self-inflicted Fire and Insurance Claims

Are these people followers of Jirayr Sifilian who vowed to assassinate Armenian government and military officials on the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide? If so, I hope the Armenian police show no mercy to these … you know what.

These people are working for Turks and Azeris. Their single goal is to create discord on this most important date of all Armenians. They are determined to bring down Armenia's statehood. As an Armenian Diaspora citizen I strongly call everyone to denounce such acts of violence. They are fifth columnists and agent provocateurs operating in Armenia in full force and with full support from the US Embassy. They will not hesitate to spread chaos a la Ukraine. The game is not over. We have to protect Armenia from its inner and outer enemies.

Many of the activists are planning to leave Armenia to return to their countries of origin. Some already have left with no plans to return. I think the government of Armenia is allowing free space for the activists to identify their faces and track their links to their masters.
