The Joys of Accidents

Singer Ross Baghdassarian (1919-1972) was a multi-talented artist whose “Chipmunks” record had 30 million sales while the Chipmunks were on prime time TV. His “Come On-A-My Home”, sung by Rosemary Clooney (George’s aunt) in 1951, was number one on the charts. The son of a Fresno grape-grower, Baghdassarian appeared in “Stalag 17” and in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window”.
