DNA Never Lies

After suffering almost-mortal PR hits for more than a year, Israel is now further hammered by three shiny nails.

A John Hopkins Genetic Study has concluded that 97.5% of the “Judaica” living in the Zionist settlement known as Israel have no connection to the ancient Hebrews and neither do they have blood ties to ancient Israel. The study also pointed out that 80% of Palestinians carry ancient Hebrew DNA and blood.

Another study (New York Genome Centre, 2021) revealed that the DNA of modern Palestinians matches that of Bronze Age people who lived in the Holy Land around 2500-1700 BCE.

A third study (John Hopkins School of Public Health) strongly backed the Khazarian Hypothesis, as opposed to the Rhineland Hypothesis of European Jewish (Ashkenazi) origin. The mendacious Rhineland Hypothesis claims European Jews descend from Israelite-Canaanite tribes who left Palestine for Europe when the Arabs conquered Palestine in the 7th Century. In the 15th century, some of these 50,000 Jews left Germany for the East. Although they were persecuted and denied economic opportunities in Eastern Europe, they somehow multiplied to 8 million by the 20th century. Such an incredible increase in their numbers would probably mean 12-member families generation after generation. This ridiculous fable is promoted by a number of Jewish professors as history. Incidentally, what happened to the Canaanites (traditional enemies of the Jews because Abraham grabbed their homeland) who were supposedly fellow-travelers of the Palestine Jews?

The above fairy tale is shattered by the far more credible Khazarian Hypothesis. That hypothesis says Khazars were a confederation of Turkish tribes who lived north of the Caucasus, between the Black and Caspian seas. They were a powerful presence from the 7th to the 9th century. A warlike people, they often attacked the neighboring lands. When the Khazars were at their height of power and influence they decided to change their religion and convert en masse to Christianity or Islam or to Judaism. They eventually opted for Judaism. A few centuries later, when the Khazars were attacked by Mongol invaders, they rushed to Eastern Europe. Because they adhered to Judaism, they were identified as Jews by Eastern Europeans. The descendants of these Khazars (mostly from Ukraine, Poland, and Russia) founded Zionism, settled (1918-1948) in Palestine with the active but illegal support of the British and despite the justified opposition of the indigenous Palestinians. It’s these Turkic Khazars who established the Israeli colonial state in 1948 and have governed it since. More than fifty years ago, writer Arthur Koestler (Hungarian Jew) advanced the Khazarian Hypothesis in his best-selling The Thirteenth Tribe.

There is more…a fourth nail. In Nov. 20, 2022, the Times of Israel published an article about a study of Israeli DNA conducted by Prof. Shai Carmi. The newspaper quoted Prof. Carmi: “Given that no DNA sequences existed for historical Ashkenazi Jewry, we sought to generate ancient DNA dates for this population. Our hope was to fill the gaps in our understanding of Ashkenazi Jewish early history.” The professor admitted inventing DNA sequences for Israelis. Why not? When you invent a country over an existing country, inventing DNA is a child’s play.

Except in special circumstances, Israelis are not to have their DNA checked. One wonders why.

If the conclusions of the above studies are science based (there is no reason to doubt the professionalism of their research and the veracity of their conclusions), it means that since Oct. 7, 2023, the Khazar-Turks (Israelis) have killed around 200,000 Jews (Palestinians) and wounded an unaccounted number of Jewish civilians in addition destroying Gaza and expanding their illegal settlements in the West Bank. Perhaps that is the reason Erdogan, the blowhard leader of Turkey, continues to sell vital oil to the Israeli Defense Forces and exports goods to Greece which are surreptitiously destined for Israel.

  1. Will Huckster Mike Huckabee, Trump’s appointee for Ambassador to Israel, be prepared to admit his perverse falsehoods about Palestinians and Israelis? Or will his fundamentalist nonsense continue to pollute what is already an extremely contaminated bias against the obscenely wronged Palestinians? My question is rhetorical, of course!

    1. He can’t site true sources because much of this article is false including the Johns Hopkins University study, which has been falsely cited and misrepresented. This study was performed by Dr. Eran Elhaik, a geneticist at Johns Hopkins who used existing data and did not perform any DNA testing on anyone for his study.
This mendacity of this article is easily corroborated through a simple Google search.

    1. You did not properly source the first study mentioned (the one with the 97.5% figure), which is the most important one. Can you provide a proper source please?

  2. This info ((the one with the 97.5% figure) was on the John’s Hopkin website, but was taken down (probably by pressure by some group) in 2025, you can search for the comments on Twitter X.

  3. creo totalmente en la teoria jazara, pero mi duda es como aprendieron estos descendientes de jazaros el sistema espiritual de la cabala, fue dado por judios originales sefardies en la edad media?

    Google translation

“I fully believe in the Khazarian theory, but my question is how did these descendants of Khazars learn the spiritual system of Kabbalah? Was it given by the original Sephardic Jews in the Middle Ages?”

  4. There is no proper source to this study. Only to a Newspaper Article – which does not make the claim you make.
Following that article – I did find a study — which contradicts your statment.
    1) Genome-wide data for 33 Jewish individuals from 14th-century Erfurt, Germany
    2) Medieval and modern Ashkenazi Jews (AJ) have similar ancestral genetic sources
    3) Medieval AJ were genetically heterogeneous, likely divided into two or more groups
    4) The individuals descend from an extreme founder event shared with modern AJ

  5. You did not cite a source to the study that you based this article on. It causes people to question your credibility.

Vahakn: The article provided the source. Read the article again–and carefully.

  6. Obscene slander against jews and zionists , the paper is misinterpreted by the professor john hopkins himself , he saying that his research proved that the jews came from there ,they sharing the same dna base groups as Samaritans and the people identifying as palestinian . What the blog does is nothing other than shadow the truth with an embelished lie !

  7. I see the DNA article was published in December 2024 and yet it still receives comments ten months after publication. This must be unprecedented in Keghart’s long history. I smell a rat. I smell hasbara… Zionist influencers who monitor legacy and social media to advance the cause of genocidal Israel. Who are letter-writer F. Baklouti-Ari-Anon-Jalipa-Justin Coy? At least, Roy Macgregor doesn’t hide behind a pseudonym. But he is still a disappointment: his bio says he is author, journalist, sport writer, fiction and non-fiction writer, columnist, feature writer, novelist, and kiddie story writer. He is a disappointment–in addition to sounding like hasbara–because despite his years as a professional writer, he upchucks such literary horrors as “obscene slander.” Cool it, Roy: you’d be more credible. He also ignores basic writing rules and spells “jews, zionists, palestinians.” Mr. MacGregor, pick up your apparently dusty copy of the Globe’s or CP’s style book.
The European origin of most Israelis is an undeniable visual fact. The Ashkenazis, who have run Israel from day one, don’t look Semitic like the Middle Eastern Jews. When Israel was created over the Palestinian homeland there were 800,000 Jews in the Arab countries. They had lived with Arabs for more than a thousand years. Thus, when Israel invited them to move to Israel, very few “Arab Jews” responded. To make them move, Israeli agents placed bombs in Jewish community centers. That did the trick. Assuming the bombs were placed by Arabs, Jews began to move to Israel. What was their reception? They discovered they were second-class citizens. The European Azhkenazis, who were not Jewish, looked down at these genuine Jews. Seventy-five years later, their condition has improved somewhat but Israel is still run by racist European settlers.

  8. Organized Hisbara is still at it a year after the Israeli DNA story appeared in Keghart. Hisbara is an organized group of thousands (millions?) of Zionists around the world whose mission is to deny Zionists misdeeds and promote Israel at every occasion. In this instance, they didn’t like the Keghart article about the non-Jewish roots of the Ashkinazis who illegally established Israel by stealing Arab Palestine and driving out 750,000 to 900,000 Palestinians from their homeland. Because their argument re Israeli DNA is lame, Hisbara agent hiding under the phony Alian pseudonym tries to discredit the article by correcting the John Hopkins spelling hoping the correction would discredit the article. “Alian” should look into the reason it’s illegal in Israel to try to determine one’s DNA. DNA research by Dutch DNA specialists have revealed Palestinians have more ancient Hebrew DNA than “Jewish” Israelis. Israel and its Hisbara propaganda arm have studiously avoided mentioning this fact.

  9. Dear Joe,
Welcome to the august Hisbara International Team of Rogues and Rascals (HITRR) cumbaya. Allow me to introduce you to other members of HITRR who, like you, are dedicated to promoting Zio strategy and to whitewash the crimes of racist, genocidal, fascist colony called Israhell and back crook-thief-mass murderer Satanyahu. The letter-writers include Matthew, Baklouti, Ari, Alian, Anon, Jalipa, and Justin Coy. They have sent comments to this publication hoping their falsehood-drenched claims would see light of day. They coyly hide behind pseudonyms, but they might as well be the same person because their song is the same cliche sing song of denial. The fact that letters keep appearing in Keghart a year after the original article appeared is proof the letter writers are Hisbara intent at falsifying the truth about Israhell. Through the drip-drip-drip of letters to the publication, they hope to force the publication to deny the facts and accommodate the Zionist line. By the way, it’s illegal to have DNA test in Israhell: the government fears too many of its citizens would discover they are NOT the children of Abraham, the mythical Man from Ur (Iraq) who was tight with the Upstairs Big Guy.
A thought: Perhaps the Palestine-Zionia conflict could end when the citizens of the Zionist colony move to Ur, Father Abraham’s hometown. Disappointed by the lack of the promised rivers of milk and honey in Palestine, the Self-Chosen would go home to Abraham’s Ur or was that Babylon?
Now boys, go back to your club and tell your Hisbara coordinator the phony letter-writing campaign is a dud. Go bark at another tree.

  10. Absolutely bull… First, there is literally no Kazar DNA studies done to compare to Ashkenazi because there are no Khazars living to test. It has been proven time and again and most recently from a Harvard study that paternal DNA is almost 100% middle-easterm; maternal DNA in many but not all European because of obvious migration from the middle east where the Jews migrated to. It is also found that Ashkenazis and Sephardic are closely related DNA-wise, and all three major groups Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Mizrahi share DNA to lesser or greater degrees. Tje “Khazar” theory was just that: a “theory” with absolutely no science to back it up.

  11. I see Hisbara Anonymous has a new member by the name of Zoe. I can tell Ms. Zoe is a very busy person because she is tinkled her five shekels a year after the article appeared. I was going to suggest that she read prominent political writer Arthur Koestler’s (Hungarian Jew) “The Thirteenth Tribe” where the writer proves Ashkenazis are Khazars (not ‘Kazar’ as Zoe spells.). However, since she is very busy, I hesitate to make the recommendation. A writing tip: Zoe, don’t overdo it. Why do you write “there is absolutely no proof.” when “there is no proof” conveys the same message? Absolutely.

  12. Several years ago, a Dutch genealogy team spent some time in Occupied Palestine I (West Bank and Gaza ) and Occupied Palestine II (Israel) studying the local DNA. They discovered Palestinians had DNA closer to that of the ancient Jews than did Israeli Jews. The discovery was given short shrift by both parties. Checking one’s DNA is banned in Israel because the government wants to hush up DNA facts. Perhaps checking the Israeli DNA is redundant. Walk down any street in the West Bank and in Occupied Palestine II (Israel), you will come across many tall soldiers some with red hair and blue-green eyes.

  13. “The professor admitted inventing DNA sequences for Israelis. Why not? When you invent a country over an existing country, inventing DNA is a child’s play.”

I think you misinterpreted what Dr Carmi said. He is not saying that he made up the data. These are the bone remains of Ashkenazi jews from the 14 th century. He compared it with modern Ashkenazi jews and found that there hasn’t been much change to the DNA. This is normal since that culture is isolated. The bones were moved to another cemetery in the 19 th century, to Erfurt since that is what the community of jews wanted. They extracted the DNA from the teeth, from 38 dead individuals, and they compared to alive Ashkenazi jews. They also have found that there are basically 2 groups in modern Ashkenazi. Some have mixed with europeans while others have not.

I didn’t read the rest. If you need help reading english material, let me know.

  14. The geographic location is actually mentioned in the Quran
The two horned one, the traveller with his army went there
The black sea to the west , where the sun rises , as if it looks like a muddy pool
Then to the east the Caspian sea ,
The north a mountain range, where a people asked him for help from the tribes from the north
    This was before they converted

    1. Since the query is about the Johns Hopkins genetic study, I am surprised Gianni didn’t Google “Johns Hopkins genetic study of Jews/ Israelis.. If he done so, he would have read the following: “The Johns Hopkins study led by Eran Elhalk explained the genetic makeup of Jewish populations, particularly Ashkenazi Jews. The study found out that Ashkenazi Jews have a great genetic links to the ancient Khazars, a Turkic people who lived in southern Russia, the Caucasus, and Kazakhstan…”
The study was criticized by Prof. Karl Skotrcki.
Eran Elkalk is Israeli American. Prof. Skorecki is an Israeli Jew.
Israel was founded by Ashkenazi Jews who have run Israel since…Ben-Gurion to Netanyahu trace their ancestry to Poland.

  15. My dear friend, thank you very much indeed. I asked the question because I have been corresponding with Prof. Eran Elhaik, and he did not tell me much. In particular, he did not confirm the percentages given in a press release attributed to Opkhins University, which stated that 97.5% of Ashkenazim are of European origin, specifically Turkish-Slavic (Khazar), and that 80% of Palestinians are of confirmed Jewish origin. He told me that he did not know where these percentages came from. However, I knew that this information was on a page of the same university, but now it seems that this page is no longer there. I am looking for this page and this information. I am writing a text on the subject and hope to publish it very soon. For this reason, I am very interested in this issue and am obviously looking for first-hand material for my research. I am a political-military advisor to the Embassy in Rome. Greetings and thanks to you and all the visitors to your interesting website. Gianni Viola (Rome).

  16. Dear Vahakn, thank you for the valuable information you have provided me with. Of course, I have used your suggestions and found many useful elements. I am a writer and scientific researcher. I currently work as a political-military consultant at several diplomatic offices in Rome. I am conducting research on Zionism and Palestine. I am looking for a specific reference to a news item that was once on a page of the Opkhins University website. That news item reported that 97.5% of Ashkenazim are not of Semitic origin, but European, and added that over 80% of Palestinians are descendants of Jews. This news item is no longer there, but it is often reported by many websites. I need to obtain precise information on this issue. That is why I asked you that question. Thank you in advance for everything and I wish you all the best in your work. Gianni.

  17. In the past decade (I don’t know the year) a team of Dutch genetic scientists researched Palestinian and Israeli DNAs. They concluded that many Palestinians had DNA closer to the Jews of Christ’s time than Israeli Jews did. Neither Palestinians nor Israelis liked the findings. The research was deep-sixed. You might know that trying to find one’s DNA in Israel is banned unless paternity is an issue. Why?

  18. The answer you gave me is very interesting, and I will take it into consideration. Regarding the ban on genetic research in Israel (apart from strictly family-related research, such as paternity testing), I am well aware of the reasons behind it. In Israel, they are afraid that it might become known that they, as Ashkenazim, have no blood ties with Semitic Jews. Regarding the Dutch study, it seems natural to me that the results obtained were not welcomed by the Israelis. However, I fail to understand why these results would not also be welcomed by the Palestinians. In Rome, I have always known many Palestinians who are aware (through family tradition) that they are Jewish and descendants of converts to Christianity or Islam. Historically and demographically, it is all very clear. Thank you for the valuable information, which I will treasure. Above all, I will try to investigate the research conducted by the Dutch. Have a good day. See you soon.

  19. Gianni,
You are surprised by the Palestinian dismissal of the Dutch research that some Palestinians have traces of Jewish DNA. How can they identify with a people and state which has stollen their land, killed thousands of them, turned them into refugees, and continues to kill them every day? Consider the following: You might know that from 1915 to 1923 Turkey killed 1.5 million Armenians, drove the rest to the Syrian Desert to die, and grabbed 90 percent of historic Armenia. In the process, Turks also stole Armenian children and forcibly married Armenian women. Thus, there are countless “Turks” who have Armenian blood. A few years ago, when the Erdogan government facilitated research into DNA, thousands of Turks discovered they had Armenian blood. For obvious reasons, the government shut down the DNA project. Let’s say you have an Italian friend who is anti-German.Then one day he discovers his true father was a Nazi soldier who had raped your friend’s mother. Would he identify with Germans? Would he hate them even more? Would he cover up his partial identity?

  20. Dear Vahakn,
first of all, thank you for your reply. This blog is really fantastic. It allows us to discuss many useful topics in a very calm manner. And now I come to the subject of my message. If there are Palestinians who are outraged and shocked by the results of the genetic analysis concerning them, I would make the following comment. As a diplomat, I observe that these Palestinians do not know the history of their own people and, above all, do not know their origins.
They are outraged because they do not want to be considered Jews, that is, like those who are massacring them.
And here we are in the midst of a series of very profound historical errors.
Those who are massacring them are not Jews, but Turkic-Slavs (properly Khazars) who converted to Judaism in their time. Until the 19th century, these “converts” were correctly called “Jews”, since they were not and are not a people, but only a religious (multi-ethnic) group. Then, from the 19th century onwards, Zionism (officially founded in 1896 in Basel, Switzerland) decreed that the term “Jews” should be adopted instead of “Hebrews” in order to validate two totally false claims: 1) That they are a people, which is not true; 2) That they are descendants of the biblical Jews, which is not true.
In turn, Palestinians are considered Arabs because they speak one of the Arabic languages, specifically “Palestinian Arabic”. In reality, they are not Arabs, but only Arabic speakers, meaning they speak an Arabic language.
The explanation is very simple and does not require genetic analysis of any kind.
Let us ask a question: why do Palestinians consider themselves Arabs? Because they speak Arabic. Similarly, the Irish speak English, but they are not English. And so the Palestinians speak Arabic, but they are not Arabs.
Palestinians are Jews because in 70 AD, after the Roman conquest of Judea, there was no exile, no massacre of Jews, and they were not driven out of Palestine. In reality, the Jews of Roman times (apart from the ruling class and a few guerrilla fighters linked to the Zealot sect) remained tied to the land and stayed in Palestine. Today, those Jews who remained in Palestine are mostly Muslims and a very small number are Christians, and they are called “Palestinians”.
Why are the “Palestinians” Muslims and Christians? Because the Jews of Palestine were first Christianised (Jerusalem became the first Christian city in the world), then, from the 7th century CE, they were Islamised. At the same time, they lost the use of Aramaic and Greek, which were the domestic and commercial languages of the Jews in Roman times.
The Palestinians are in their own home, the Khazars (now called Ashkenazim, and until the 19th century also Jews, and now improperly referred to as Hebrews) are squatters and thieves.
It should be noted that a small proportion (between 10 and 15%) of Palestinians are Arabs, and a very small proportion (no more than 3%) of Ashkenazim are Jews.
That is the story, in a nutshell. Thank you again for your attention and hospitality. Greetings to all.

  21. To prove that Israel is an illegitimate state, many critics of Zionism have indicated that most Israelis, including the founders of the settle state, are Khazar Turks. While this is a good argument to delegitimize the brigand statelet of Israel, there is a stronger argument. Even if Israelis were descendants of Jews who lived 2,000 years ago, they have no right to the land 2,000 years after departing. In that period, Palestine was occupied by the Romans, Byzantium, Persia, Arabs, Crusaders, Arabs, Turks, and the British. To claim ownership after 2,000 years, could justify Italians to claim ownership of the Mediterranean basin.

  22. Unfortunately, this is an echo chamber, not a truth-seeking one. People are not after evidence or truth here, they are after affirmation, which is why the moderators will delete this respectful post.

    That said…..

Yes, DNA never lies. But cherry pickers and bloggers do.

For example, you list publication titles, but no actual study titles (I listed some at the bottom of this, which contradicts the claim that modern Jews are not close relativies of Palestinians). I wonder why that is. Then you completely misunderstand and take this out of context: “Given that no DNA sequences existed for historical Ashkenazi Jewry, we sought to generate ancient DNA data for this population. Our hope was to fill the gaps in our understanding of Ashkenazi Jewish early history.” That doesn’t mean what you claim it means. It means it they had to use COMPARATIVE DNA because Ahskenazi Jews have intermixed with Mediterranean and Eastern Europeans. And cherry picking, yes, you conveniently left out this part of their study (which is in the article you referenced): “An even closer inspection revealed that the Erfurt population was divided into two groups: one with more European ancestry compared to modern Ashkenazi Jews, and one with more Middle Eastern ancestry”

Hmmm… Middle Eastern ancestry. That almost seems to contradict the entire thesis of the blog, in the source YOU cited. Somehow I am no longer surprised you didn’t actually site specific studies to back up your claim. Doing so would likely undermine it. I have read a LOT of peer reviewed literature on the topic, and it flatly contradicts your thesis.

While there is no such thing as a “pure” race (humans have been migrating and mixing for millennia), extensive peer-reviewed genetic studies (such as those by Behar, Hammer, and Ostrer) consistently show that most Jewish groups worldwide share a significant amount of DNA with other Levantine populations, including Palestinians, Druze, Lebanese, and Syrians.

Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews: These groups (from the Middle East, North Africa, and Spain) show the strongest genetic ties to the ancient Levant. They cluster very closely with other Middle Eastern populations.

Ashkenazi Jews: Studies show that Ashkenazi Jews typically have a “mosaic” genome. They usually possess about 30-60% Levantine/Middle Eastern ancestry, with the remainder being Southern European (likely Italian/Greek) and Eastern European.

The “Khazar Hypothesis”: You mentioned the idea that Jews are all “converts.” This usually refers to the theory that Ashkenazi Jews are descendants of the Khazars (a Turkic people who converted in the 8th century). While popular in some political rhetoric, most major genetic studies have found no significant evidence for a mass Khazar origin (note that the only source you listed, a Newspaper, did not support this claim. You had to infer by misrepresenting what the discussion was about).

The Palestinian Connection: There is actually a kernel of truth in the claim regarding Palestinians, but it doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means.

Shared Ancestry: Research shows that Palestinians and Jews are genetically “brothers.” Palestinians are largely descended from the local populations of the Levant who remained in the land over centuries.

The Transition: History suggests that many of the ancestors of modern Palestinians were likely original Israelites or Canaanites who eventually converted—first to Christianity under the Byzantines, and later to Islam after Arab colonization.

The Result: Ironically, the science used to claim Jews aren’t “real” Levantines actually proves that both Jews and Palestinians share the same ancient “Canaanite” roots.

“Convert” vs. “Descendant”: The idea that a group is “just converts” implies that conversion and ancestry are mutually exclusive, which isn’t how history works.

Admixture: Judaism has always allowed for conversion. Throughout the Diaspora, Jewish communities occasionally intermarried with local populations (Romans, Persians, Berbers, etc.).

Preservation: Despite this “admixture,” Jewish communities remained relatively endogamous (marrying within the faith) for centuries. This is why a Jew from Poland and a Jew from Iraq still share more DNA with each other—and with a Palestinian—than they do with a random person from Norway.

Summary: The claim that modern Jews have no Levantine descent is factually incorrect according to current genetic data—and I again note that you did not post any actual study titles, and the one publication you did post and link to (a popular news source) does not claim what you have implied that it does, inferring a conclusion that is not warranted based on the limited study of 14th century Jews. However, it is true that modern Palestinians are also indigenous to the region and share much of that same ancient DNA.

Ultimately, the history of the Levant isn’t a story of one group replacing another, but rather a story of a single ancestral population that branched off into different religions, languages, and identities over 3,000 years.

Unfortunately, reality is inconvenient to politicians, snake oil salesmen, and people with an agenda other than scientific accuracy (literally every commenter in this thread, as well as the author, and the moderators too). The reality of the situation is that virtually all the people in the Levant today share an ancestor no older than 3000 years, and some much closer than that. And if you put all of these people on a genetic map, you fill find that even the Ahskenazi Jews have subgroups closer to Palestinians than Eastern Europeans.

Non-exhaustive list of studies supporting my claims:
Agranat-Tamir et al. (2020), which examines 71 ancient people as well as various living people in the Levante—including some Israelis , Behar et al. (2010), which does a comparative analysis of genetics of people living in the Levante compared to those not living in it, and plots them all on an easy to read graph (including various Jews, Palestinians, Arameans, Armenians, Samaritans and so on), and shows they cluster together, with the Iraqi Jews (aka the Mizrahi Jews) being quite close to Palestinians, and the Yeminite Jews literally overlapping with the Palestinians), and even more hysterical to the mob, it shows that even some Ashkenazi Jews are closer to Palestinians than Eastern Europeans. Nebel et al., (2000) looked at Palestinians and Jews and found a whopper: 70% of Jewish men and 82% of Palestinian men showed the same paternal ancestor. Then you have Hammer et al., (2000), which looked at over a thousand Jewish men and found they are closer to each other than they are to Europeans, and also found that the Jews and other Middle-Eastern non-Europeans, including Palestinians and Syrians, formed a tight genetic cluster; then there’s Arnaiz-Villena et al., (2001), which found that the Palestinians are closely related Jews and other Middle East populations. I could go on. Study after study after study shows the two groups are a lot closer related than anyone here seems to be aware. One actual look at Israeli Jews (especially Sephardic and even more so Mizrahi) will tell you what all these studies I actually listed show: Jews and Palestinians are the same people. Only the Ashkenazi Jews are an outlier, but (a) they aren’t the majority in Israel anymore and (b) even they have substantial Canaanite ancestry.

The entirety of the science (as opposed to carefully cherry picked and misrepresented science) supports the conclusion BOTH of these things are true: Palestinians descended from ancient Levantines AND so did Jews (moreover, the totality of the science shows that the two groups are MUCH closer to each other than the OP or any of the commenters seem to realize).

My advice is to not seek out things to affirm your beliefs, but instead to value truth for its own sake.

  23. The said DNA article was published in Keghart in Dec. 2024. That is sixteen months ago. And yet, people–apparent Zionists, aka Hisbara–continue their campaign to deep six the article. Considering the sixteen-month duration of the comments, somebody should inform the Guinness Book of Records people to honor Keghart’s involuntary achievement in the wide world of wonders.

  24. Vahakn, I just listed half a dozen genetic studies on people from the region, and there are SCORES MORE, which confirm what is OBVIOUS by looking at non-Ashkenazi Jews standing next to Palestinians: they share ancestors. The degree to which someone has to bury their head in the sand to ignore observable reality and claim that Jews have no Levantine ancestry, when they LITERALLY LOOK IDENTICAL to Palestinians in many cases (especially Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews), some of whom have lived RIGHT NEXT TO THEM and most of whom SPOKE THE SAME LANGUAGE for more than a thousand years, is just astounding (Hebrew was a second language to Mizrahi Jews. Arabic was their first language).
    .
Anyone making a claim of “supremacy” based on ancestry has already lost the argument unless they go full MAGA and just ignore physical reality. Because the UNDENIABLE FACT OF REALITY is that everyone CURRENTLY living in the Levant shares most of the same ancestry. As I posted above, some 70% of Jews and 82% of Palestinians have THE VERY SAME male ancestors. It’s absolutely asinine to continue with this scientifically illiterate diatribe. Good god, objective truth does not care about your feelings or political views, and objective, observable truth shows WITHOUT QUESTION that Jews and Palestinians not only are closely related, their common ancestor is very recent within human history (not to mention modern intermixing which has continued for the last several hundred years, which is why many Palestinians who take genetic tests find to their dismay that they not only have Jewish ancestry, but Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry [aka European Jews]).
    .
You can argue that the Levantine people who left the region to flee persecution (Jews) forfeited their rights to the land. But you cannot make the argument that they have no rights to it BECAUSE they have no ancestors who lived on it, because that is as true as the claim that the world is flat. They DO have ancestors who lived on it, and they are the very same ancestors of the Palestinians, as shown by study after study after study on this topic. Of course, then you have to explain why you exclude the descendants of Musta’arabi Jews, those Jews who literally never left the Levant. And then it gets more complicated, because for several hundred years the Sephardic Jews intermixed with the Musta’arabi Jews, so now you have to decide if their children and grandchildren count or not, since they have both pure Levantine ancestry as well as Iberian ancestry. But if you do that, then you have to ask if Palestinians also should be allowed to remain given that they have European ancestry from the Crusades and Roman colonization, Arab ancestry from the Arab colonization, and African DNA from simply living on the land bridge between Africa and Europe.
    .
Or you can stop the inanity in the first place and recognize the observable reality that nearly everyone currently living in the Levant share RECENT ancestry and instead focus on whether the conflict that started with European Jews buying land and getting into fights over that land with Palestinians who didn’t believe you could just own land by holding a piece of paper, and then you can wonder about the 800,,000 Mizrahi Jews kicked out of Middle Eastern countries starting in the 1940s, the UN partition, the 1967 war, and everything that’s happened since then.
    .
But one thing you can’t do while being scientifically accurate is continue to claim that Jews have no Levantine ancestry, because that is embarrassingly scientifically inaccurate.

    1. The various research cited by “Actual Scientist” are irrelevant to the discussion at hand. In one word: A digression.
The core argument here is whether foreigner Jews from as far away as Poland had the right to possess Arab Palestine. The following facts sink that Zionist assertion.
In 1910, on the eve of the racist Balfour Declaration, Arabs (Muslim and Christian) made up 95 percent of Palestine’s population. They also owned 96 percent of the public land.
The imperialist Balfour Declaration opened the door to the illegal Jewish immigration to Palestine. After nearly 30 years of this illegal Jewish immigration against the wishes of the indigenous Palestinian Arabs Jews made up 46 percent of the population. But despite their illegal presence and minority status, they were given 56 percent of Palestine by the US-manipulated United Nations. Arabs naturally opposed the splitting of their homeland and the handing of most of the land to strangers from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Germany. Zionists manipulate the justified Arab opposition to the splitting of their homeland and claim Jews accepted the UN decision while Arabs chose war.
That Palestinian Arabs shared DNA with Jews is irrelevant. On the eve of the Bafour Declaration, 95 percent of Palestinians considered themselves Arab.

  25. Could you share the sources, please?
If you can cite the studies you mentioned in the text it could be excellent. Scientific citation of course, in this format:
Atzmon G, Hao L, Pe’er I, Velez C, Pearlman A, Palamara PF, Morrow B, Friedman E, Oddoux C, Burns E, Ostrer H. Abraham’s children in the genome era: major Jewish diaspora populations comprise distinct genetic clusters with shared Middle Eastern Ancestry. Am J Hum Genet. 2010 Jun 11;86(6):850-9. doi: 10.1016/j.ajhg.2010.04.015. PMID: 20560205; PMCID: PMC3032072.

  26. Apologies for nearly repeating myself. The DNA article appeared in Keghart nearly a year-and-a-half ago. Yet, in a media history-making record, Keghart still receives letters intended to cast doubt about the veracity of the original article which has displeased the Hisbara folks. The latest effort is by one Noam., undoubtedly a card-carrying Hisbara which is an adjunct of the Zionist State Propaganda Ministry. They operate around the globe attacking anyone who dares to criticize the genocidal fascist foreign transplant in the Arab Middle East. They believe in Israel’s Samson Option (start a nuclear war) if Zionia is threatened. Noam and Co. can repeat the mostly Zionist “research” to justify their criminal presence in Palestine. But one fact alone dynamites their “scientific” hubris: In 1910, the population of Palestine was 95 percent Arab. The remaining 5 percent were Greeks, Armenians, Copts, and Jews.. While the world was getting rid of imperialism, Zionists from Vienna-Budapest-Kiev were conspiring to reverse the tide. and steal Palestine from the indigenous Arabs. Since 1948 founding of Israel, people outside the Middle East have believed the Zionist propaganda and their “just cause. Finally, after Oct. 7 the world has discovered the truth about the murderous Zionist regime which Araba call “the cancer of the Middle East.”

  27. Noam,
If it’s nonsense, why did you invest the time to read it?
If it’s nonsense, why don’t you argue? Please no Bible citing to prove your point. The Bible is a self-agrandizing collection of fables which include the document that God promised to give the homeland of the Canaanites (Palestinians) to foreigners from Chaldean Ur (Iraq).
You and your Hesbara pals have been trying to neutralize an article which appeared some 500 days ago. That requires a couple of exclamation marks and deserves to be in the “Guinness Book of World Records.”
Your persistence invites the tossing of stones at you and the foreign settlers who through money, guile, violence, and the abominable Brits stole the homeland of the Palestinians.
You are one of the thousands of Hesbara agents instructed to stamp out any fact or thought which exposes the fascist, genocidal Zionists who go into ecstasy at the sight of a Palestinian child killed by the “world’s most moral army.” Herzl launched his conspiracy to steal Palestine from the indigenous Palestinians through Rothschild and Co. lucre. It’s the same money (AIPAC, ADL, etc.) which pushes the U.S. to go to war against Arabs in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia.
One of the cilches of Zio boys like you is that while Arab governments are not democratic, Israel is. But that limp democracy is only for Jews.
In the ’50s, democratic Israhell secretly sent fighters to Algeria to help French colonists stamp out the democratic Algerian independence movement which witnessed the killing of 1 million Algerians. Recently, Israel helped the Azerbaijan dictatorship to attack Armenian Nagorno-Karabakh, kill 6,000 Armenians, and drive out 120,000 Armenians from their homeland. Since then, Azerbaijan has been busy destroying Armenian churches, monuments, architecture, khachkars. Why do I recall IDF killers crushing Christ’s statue and sticking a cigarette in the mouth of St. Mary’s statue. Your job is to polish the image of these anti-Christian killers of babies, journalists, physicians… You are not doing a good job. The Zio crimes have been finally recognized by the world…from Japan to Peru, from Greece to the U.S. No more Zio lies.

  28. I knew most of the information presented quite fluently. The information about Erdogan I knew in the back of my mind but kind of ignored because I really want Turkeyia to come to the rescue of the Judeans (Palestinians) so the massacre and starvation stops. I find it infuriating that a man who calls himself a Muslim would have trade with the enemy of humanity and particularly the enemy of my beloved Umma. I am not saying that every person who considers themselves to be Jewish as an enemy. I am only talking about the racist genocidal state that even treats people who are actually of jewish heritage terribly because they are melanated people, unlike the ruling AshkeNazis. There is a caste system in that country based on skin color, just like in Hinduism. It must be why India loves them so much. My original point of this response was to say that I hope Turkeyia at least intervenes in some meaningful way that saves lives on all sides of the conflict. I just want a world where we all live in peace without a racist or classist hierarchy. I don’t want communism because that is exactly like unbridled capitalism. Just peace.
