  1. Boyadjian and…Pilikian

    Dearest

It was a great surprise to read about Zabel Boyadjian and gain such deep information about her. I really appreciated the  great work Prof. Pilikian did in such a perfect introduction.

I have nothing to add but to tell everyone to read, to get introduced and appreciate both, the "Theme" and the Presenter; If we keep on visiting museums and evaluate the art and the artists but never look around or identify where we stand or what we, as Armenians, have offered in this field, I suppose it is a shameful ‘national’ attitude and we do not deserve at all; We were known as one of the best witnesses against world illegalities and we became the first nation to accept the heavenly religion as our official belief but…also we were martyred and lost 1.5 million just because we could not bear such human immoralities, sarcasm, hatred, fanatism…

Gentlemen, how come then we should not appreciate these two, Boyadjian and Pilikian, who both have granted a very important national pride that was ‘humbly ‘ disregarded or not revealed: One being the creator of the art and the other to be the best ‘creator’ of this hidden value.

I am not an artist, dear Mrs Boyadjian, to argue your creations but definitely they are of world value as we admire them. God preserve your soul and hope you rest in artful peace, in God’s appreciation.

And you, dearest Prof. Pilikian, I will never forget you as a great Armenian, beside being a great music Master, since I first met you in Beirut in my childhood.

Please consider me as your nearest kin, for the peace of our family members who do rest in peace.

    God be with you all

    1. Thank you Hovik for the nice

Thank you Hovik for the nice comment and description.  I wish other Armenians also will understand the value of these two geniuses and will make their existence in the Armenian culture, literature and art permanent.

Fortunately foreigners have acknowledged them more than Armenians, but unfortunately they are not promoting the fact that those two individuals are, in fact, Armenian…

      1. Thanks for your kind ‘Thank you”

        Dear Vartkes

tks for your kind concern and am pleased to read your brief but ‘targetted’ indication: Let’s know our values as much as we ‘fight’ to know others…

well, vartkes jan, I suppose this is a basic political "third-world" mentality that we still do maintain, because so far, the Armenian students did not read, see or witness the "Armenians of the History, today…!!" For them, we are in History but not same history repeated today. However, our education should have been more on this issue to indicate the fact that we are still on the same status but we have no Vartans but have Viktor Hampartsoumians….no Bethovens but Khachatourians…no picassos but Boyadjians and Giragossians…no Dikran the great but so many great political feagures in so many states etc…etc…

This is the supplement of our past and hence no interruption at all. Unfortunately, the psychological aspect has been quite effective, and we (maybe not so high today) still feel ourselves as ‘political subordinates’ that is translated into ‘national’…

We have now a country in our name, we have fames and leaders in all fields; We need to play with the psychology of others to evaluate, respond and verify, subsequently to make the best impression on our new generation to respect our values since…they are ‘approved’ by foreigners…!!

The rest is on us, as Armenian parents and leaders, to do our best, through our country Armenia and not always (as in the past) through diaspora alone or on a different wavelength from Armenia…

We’re all proud and still have lot to be!!

Good luck all and all the best, as human being and Armenians.
