Armenian Zorro

Barry Zortian was an American public affairs officer in Saigon during the Vietnam War. As such, he was the senior propaganda officer of the US authorities. He had been a marine during WWII and a journalist for the Voice of America. In 1967 LIFE magazine said that Zorthian was one of the unsullied few in Saigon. Nicknamed Zorro, he had the confidence of three successive ambassadors and US Commander Gen. Westmoreland, and President Johnson.
