In addition to the three major nations (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), the area between the Black Sea and the Caspian is inhabited by Ajarians, Chechens, Circassians, Daghestanis, Lazh, Kartvelians, Ossetians, Ingush, Mingrelians, Abkhazians, Tatars, Svanetians, Kabardians, and Adygeans.
