SMALL Investment for a BIG Positive Change

“Handmade Armenia” was founded with one purpose – to support Armenian manufacturers by introducing their amazing brands to the world. Below are some samples to showcase the products.

Helen Shoes is a well-established and well-known brand name in Armenia. Several of its factory outlets are spread across Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Over thirty highly-skilled craftsmen are employed to produce a wide variety of high-quality handmade shoes. All of them have families to support. For years the owners have paid out of their own pockets to the employees so that the latter do not leave the country while the owners bide their time hoping the economy will improve and sales will improve.

Unfortunately, the economy, especially under the previous government was tough and matters are not any better yet. Complicating the dilemma is that Armenian shoe manufacturers have difficulty competing with the imported low-quality products from Turkey. Our solution is simple. By establishing the online store, we hope that Armenians across North America and Europe will support them. Helen shoes provide the highest quality footwear — the testimonies may be viewed on our website. The pricing of these stylish products is very competitive. We invite you to try them. We are confident you would be happy you did.

To help you realize how little needs to be done to make a BIG change let’s share some numbers. In order for this company to continue to employ at the current numbers of workers all that’s required is the sale of 200 pairs of shoes per month. That number is simply the average monthly sale of only one store in your nearest mall. We are trying to reach the millions of Armenians living in North America and Europe. Once the project lifts off salea might double or even triple, which in turn doubles and triples the number of craftsmen from thirty to sixty and ninety. It would provide a decent salary and higher living standard for their families. As a by-product, more tax revenue will be generated for the state. Most importantly, Armenian craftsmen and their families will stay put and not contemplate immigrating. This will be a WIN-WIN-WIN situation.

The second partner is Gayane Mikaelyan. She is a talented artist and a most devoted teacher. She has worked at the "National Aesthetic Centre" and "SOS" kids’ village for many years as an art teacher. Gayane says she cannot imagine a life without painting and teaching kids to paint. Her art has been exhibited numerous times at different corners of the world. Britain, Germany, France, USA, Switzerland, Russia, and many more countries have invited her repeatedly to show her masterpieces and to conduct art classes for kids. She needs our support so that she can turn the profits from sales into funds to help educate talented kids who often are not able to raise money for their fine arts education. Our mission is to help Gayane.

Please visit the website and check her amazing collection. Everything is handcrafted with many, many hours of hard labor behind each masterpiece, and the final product is nothing short of AMAZING. We need Armenians to support her noble cause. Small steps of faith will result in a BIG positive change.

The third partner is Baghdasar Studio. We decided to partner with the studio with one goal in mind:  to facilitate sales through our website which in turn will help establish the school where he will teach kids who have different disabilities. In a private conversation, he said, “Many kids that society considers to be disabled are more talented than society perceives them to be; the problem is that they need to have space and time to open up their talents and I want to change that”.  I agreed to help them make this great change.

As a founder of “Handmade Armenia”, I hope you realize that what we may change affects many lives for the better. We need to trust and act on it. Please do not miss on the opportunity to change things. I couldn’t. That’s why I have invested money and time to change things for the better. Please do the same; you need to do much less to bring about positive change. Purchase one or two items and everything you purchase will make a BIG difference.

  1. Great initiative, but…

I liked very much this initiative and accessed the "Helen Shoes" website with beautiful photos of 4 pairs of shoes, but no price. Luckily, there was a link for a "live assistant". I asked, in a supposedly "live" chat, the price list. The response was: I do not have the answer to that, you'll need to contact "customer service". So I clicked on that, and there was no response. I hope other users will be luckier than I was. … Could it be they don't believe potential buyers from Africa where I am now?

    1. Thank you Mr. Terjanian

Thank you very much for your interest. I am sorry you had some issues; naturally I'd like to assist to resolve them. However, I need to understamd the source of the problem.

You mentioned that you visited Helen Shoes website. Our website is http://www.HandMadeArmenia.com We do have all the prices along with the pictures.

You also implied that you need the products delivered to Africa. Unfortunately, due to logistical problems we currently are unable to supply them to Africa, but we are working hard to expand our reach.

Please let me know if you need more info or assistance. You can direct your questions to [email protected]

      1. Every purchase from Armenia helps

Thank you Mr. Dadashyan for your immediate and positive reply.
The slowness of my connection in Africa may have caused my problem when I could not finding the price of the beautiful shoes you offer.
I have already circulated your website address to my contacts and wish that everyone reading Keghart does the same.
        Best wishes of success
