Vahey S. Kupelian (born in 1912) was a Genocide survivor and one of America’s top rocket scientists. He attended MIT in Boston at the age of 13. He was the army’s chief scientist for ballistic missile defense, deputy undersecretary of defense of strategic and theater nuclear forces under Ronald Reagan. He also head the army’s HIT program—the original “space based” missile interceptors in Strategic Defense Initiative.
